How does the RESULT Coaching Process work?
The RESULT coaching process clarifies the business results an executive
or manager is responsible to achieve, teaches how to reach those
goals, and provides focus and accountability to ensure that positive
business results are created.
- Results: Define the results to be achieved.
Every RESULT coaching engagement begins by defining the Key
Results™ (specific, measurable outcomes) that will indicate
a successful coaching process. These are business objectives
that will be achieved by improving the individual client’s
leadership and management effectiveness.
Key Results™ for the RESULT
coaching process are mutually set by the individual client,
that person’s superior (when appropriate), and the Clarius
coach.
- Evaluate: Evaluate the factors affecting performance.
The Evaluation stage puts Key Results into context. It provides
insight about the individual, the organization, and the business
environment. This knowledge comes in the form of quantitative
leadership, management, and sales assessments. It can also include
more qualitative feedback from superiors, peers, and subordinates
inside and outside of the organization.
Every individual client receives a
comprehensive report assessing his or her leadership and management
abilities. These results are incorporated into the coaching
process.
- Set the Plan: Set the right plan to achieve results.
Based on the client’s goals and the knowledge gained
during the Evaluation stage, the Clarius coach works with the
client to create a simple, step-by-step plan for creating the
agreed upon results. This becomes the Result Roadmap™
for the coaching process.
Defining a roadmap for coaching allows
the RESULT process to quickly promote change and development.
